Sister Thyme

Art and Samantha Ylva Beasley

In Bothell, Washington last month I worked with a painter in the early hours before I set off to Vancouver. Over two hours he took numerous reference photos of next to the lake and in the forest. Despite his insisting he’s “not a photographer, but a painter”, I find it intriguing this image he took of me is one of my most viewed recent additions to my portfolio. Perhaps he isn’t a photographer after all, but a painter that just happens to be holding a camera.
