My good artist friend James Wigger has turned me on to yet another great photographer I knew little about. Francesca Woodman reminds me a whole hell of a lot of myself. We are both young female artists, we both take emotive self-portraits, and I believe we both have a similar eye. Unfortunately, Francesca ended her life when she was only two years older than I am. She never got the chance to fully blossom into a mature artist.
